When I was in kindergarten it was really hard to learn how to read.  It was like all the letters were all scrambled like pasta all twisted and tangled up. And I was like “help!” Now reading is a lot more fun; it’s an adventure!

He always ends the sessions motivated and has something to share, whether it’s a game Mary Beth played with him, or something she shared about their common interests in reading… Lastly, while small, but a huge help for us is the level of organization Mary Beth has implemented using technology so that even when we are out of town, Eli can continue his work with her. And the scheduling and billing has always been seamless. With a busy schedule for Eli, these things really make a huge difference for us.

Mary Beth set my son up for reading success transitioning from kindergarten to first grade. He was reluctant at first, but she spent time identifying things he was interested in and making reading fun. He came to look forward to their time together. He is now doing great and right on track for his grade.

Mary Beth tutored our 4th grader over the summer and did a wonderful job. She tailored the lessons to his ability and helped him build his confidence in math. Due to her experience teaching kids at different ages and grade levels she is well versed in using multiple teaching methods and is flexible about teaching in a way that makes the most sense for the student. She is also very organized. She provided relevant tailored lessons and worksheets that our son could use and then followed up with him on progress. Our son really enjoyed his time with her too. We would highly recommend Mary Beth for any tutoring needs!
