Engaged Minds provides excellence in tutoring services for K-8 learners. Engaged Minds is seeking experienced and qualified tutors, local to Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh, North Carolina, for part time work. Strong candidates hold a graduate level degree and have at least three years of teaching experience. Certification in phonics methodology and experience in special education is also advantageous to the applicant.

Most sessions take place after school between 3:00-5:00. Applicants must be available to tutor at least twice a week for 45 minutes sessions during that time block. Summer only employment is not offered.

In addition to conducting in-person tutoring sessions, tutors are responsible for pre- and post- lesson documentation and attending monthly meetings with the lead tutor to track student progress.
