Welcome to Engaged Minds! Students feel confident and successful when learning is tailored to their needs.

Engaged Minds offers school selection consultations as well as educational advisement on a variety of needs relevant to neurodiverse students. Additionally, we provide tutoring services in reading, writing, handwriting, spelling, math, test prep, and executive functioning via study skills coaching and Project Based Learning.

What We Do:

Engaged Minds’ mission is to provide superior quality educational services to students in preschool through 12th grade. We embrace neurodiversity and welcome a broad range of learners into our practice.

Our consulting services match students to their best fit school and provide support and advocacy for myriad learning challenges.

Our tutoring services use targeted, multi-sensory interventions that remediate gaps in foundational skills. Our instruction is research-based, collaborative, compassionate and inclusive of students with a wide range of neurotypes.

Why We Do It:

Often students come to us when they are struggling with the academic demands of school. Sadly, their self esteem has often taken a hit. Through enrolling in consulting and tutoring services with Engaged Minds, these student gain the confidence and skills they need succeed in school and beyond.

How We Do It:

Our core values center around compassion, collaboration, inclusion, and evidenced based practices. You’ll see these values evident in consultation sessions as well as in our instructional work.

Our instructional methods focus on the science of reading as well as best practices in math, handwriting, spelling, writing, and Project Based Learning. We tailor sessions to student needs through assessment data we gather, blending direct instruction with engaging practice. Our executive-functioning coaching sessions empower adolescents to take charge of their learning and to succeed in the wider world.
